As a new PCI program, our Cath lab management and Senior Leadership Team were very motivated to ensure our procedures met the highest quality standards and adhered to the guidelines set forth by accrediting bodies. Through Corazon’s Platinum Accreditation process, we were afforded access to quarterly peer review for our interventional procedures and this provided the link we needed to our in-house quality program. As a result of Corazon’s Peer Review, we fine-tuned our patient selection process for appropriateness and saw improvements in our documentation. We are very pleased to see these improvements in our PCI program as a result of Corazon’s quarterly peer review process and recognize that promoting best practice guidelines also positively impacts reimbursement.
The Corazon PCI Accreditation process has helped our organization meet the requirements to perform Elective PCIs without Open Heart Surgery. Throughout the accreditation process, we were able to identify areas of opportunity to improve utilization of data, application of guidelines, and overall quality. The journey has been beneficial for our institution and providers but most beneficial for the patients we care for.
Henry Ford West Bloomfield has been offering elective PCI services since 2016, and as a result, are required by the MI department of community health to obtain program accreditation. We partnered with Corazon to achieve and maintain our accreditation. Corazon offers a collaborative approach providing guidance, quality oversight through ongoing monitoring or our quality outcomes, and recommendations for program improvement. We are proud of our PCI program and what we’ve been able to offer our patient community, and appreciate Corazon for their collaboration and leadership throughout the accreditation process.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Corazon for our PCI accreditation. The collaborative and informative approach of their Accreditation team is always uplifting and encouraging as we are on this journey together. The Corazon team is easy to work with and we appreciate their feedback and guidance. They truly want to partner with you to ensure that the best patient care is being delivered.
The collaboration, process improvement, and goal setting has been guided by Corazon for Ascension Macomb-Oakland, Warren Campus to keep up with a robust PCI program. It has been a wonderful and purposeful accreditation partnership with Corazon.
The User Group included with Corazon’s accreditation is so informative. We learn so much on the calls and we can’t wait to try some of the other best practices that the group talked about from experience. It is nice to hear about shared challenges, and that we all have room to grow and learn from each other. All of us at Garden City Hospital are so glad we are a part of Corazon, as they have shared so much with us and partnered to help our program grow and provide quality care to our patients.
Corazon was quick and thorough with finding a highly-qualified placement to join our team. This candidate has been doing great in the role and immediately jumped right into project planning. This candidate is already a valuable member of our leadership team and we are very satisfied with Corazon’s Recruitment services for finding us the right-fit for our program.
The Corazon team was very knowledgeable with planning and implementing our PCI program, as well working through the state regulatory environment for our program’s Accreditation. The projects were managed in a timely manner and used best practices and benchmarks for the development of not only implementing a cardiac cath lab, but developing a high-quality cardiac program. Our program is positioned for success from our collaboration with the Corazon team and we look forward to working with them again in the future.
Corazon Essentials has been a great resource for our program. The online module is easy to access, and offered a nice starting point for all the paperwork involved in initiating a new program.
Corazon Essentials Online was able to assist with the many development and programming questions we identified as we began our interventional angioplasty program. The online module was frequently used as a resource for benchmark information that was not readily available in our market. Information obtained from Corazon’s CEO product allowed us to make informed decisions, which saved us time with implementation.
