Attributing its well-respected standing within the community to the exceptional people who dedicate themselves to patient care and excellence, the medical center is the region’s only dedicated Heart Hospital, academic medical center, Magnet® recognized hospital and Level I Trauma Center. The medical center serves as a major referral center for East Tennessee, Southeast Kentucky and Western North Carolina.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in minimally invasive thoracic surgery with experience in malignant and benign thoracic processes, including the full spectrum of pulmonary, esophageal, mediastinal, and chest wall disease. Experience in tracheal surgery is preferred.

The chosen candidate will join a team of four experienced Cardiac and Thoracic Surgeons and eight Advanced Practitioners.
