The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) has updated their requirements for all new and existing Stroke Programs across the state, at any level of care, to require certification of the program by an approved, third party organization. Those organizations with stroke programs currently designated only by the NYSDOH will no longer be recognized, as it relates to existing bypass laws…Are you prepared for these significant changes?

Join Corazon on July 30 at 2 PM ET for a complimentary webinar that will provide:

  • An explanation of the new requirements and what they mean for stroke program operations;
  • A summary of stroke program planning measures necessary for third party certification;
  • Implementation overview of new processes and IT solutions;
  • Physician and leadership engagement with driving program quality and excellence;
  • Initiatives to improve the health of your community in consideration of the rules that govern stroke provision across New York; and more!

Hospitals that are NOT successful in achieving this third party certification within the required timeframe will lose their existing Stroke Center designation from the NYSDOH and risk potential loss of patients based on EMS bypass laws that dictate the transfer of known or suspected stroke patients to a certified center. Don’t let your hospital get bypassed!

Reserve your seat today to learn what these new requirements mean for your organization and how to best prepare for the future.
